Workers' Compensation refers to individuals injured at work as a result of a single traumatic injury or by occupational disease through repetitive motions.   The Missouri Workers' Compensation Act is contained in Chapter 287 of the Missouri Revised Statutes.

If you have been injured at work, the first thing you must do is report the incident to your supervisor or boss.

Under Missouri law, there are certain rights and obliagtions employees and employers have when an injury occurs at work.  If an accident or an occupational disease is deemed to have occurred at work, then an employee is generally entitled to three main benefits under the law, which is payment for his or her medical care, payment for your time off work if your treating physician certifies that you are unable to work, and payment for any permanent disability you may have as a result of the covered accident or injury.
